How to LOVE Sales and Have Your Customers Love It Too

There is lots of advice out there on how to earn sales and how to manage your customer service. At TMH Business Coaching, we have only three rules. Follow these rules to make your experience more enjoyable, ethical, and to earn the trust of your customers!

  1. Be authentic: Be true to your self and to your business. Don’t make promises you know you can’t keep. Trust is a KEY part of any successful relationship, and you should begin to build that with your first interaction. Be yourself, live your values, and don’t try to act like someone (or some company) that you are not.
  2. Be 100% committed to the other person’s best interests: Build your reputation around making sure your customers’ interests are served. If what you can offer isn’t a good fit, don’t try to sell them something they don’t want or need. Instead, try to help them find the right product or service—even if it’s with another company. When you are having these conversations, having their best interests in mind, you will never feel uncomfortable, because you’re simply focused on SERVING. This is how it should be! The prospective client also feels more comfortable, because you aren’t trying to “sell” them, you’re really trying to give them advice/products/services that are what’s BEST for them.
  3. Do not be attached to an outcome: Whether the person buys or not, you should feel the same sense of peace, comfortability, and detachment. It is during the most awkward and painful sales experience that your salesperson is very “attached” to making the sale. Don’t be that salesperson!

As opposed to most “sales tactics,” if you focus on these simple rules you’ll quickly realize how easy, enjoyable and ethical it makes sales!

If you feel you’re ready to make the changes to your business that will make it more successful and more enjoyable, contact TMH Business Coaching today for a confidential, free, no obligation consultation to propel you forward.
