Do What You Feel Like Doing for Better Business Success

Most of the time, I write my weekly coaching tips email on Friday and schedule it for early Monday morning, but last week, I didn’t feel like it—so I didn’t!

No, I am not losing my mind, I am (and have been for years) experimenting with a whole new way of living my life and business. And I think you’re ready to hear it: only do what you feel like doing and you will achieve much greater success.

Before you laugh and stop reading, hear me out. It is possible for you to fill your days with things you mostly like to do! I promise! I’m doing it! And the results are incomparable. I used to work seven days a week, and never, ever shut off, and I had an “ok” life.

Now I work a lot less and have MUCH GREATER SUCCESS in all areas of my life. In addition to my own personal example, I have several clients who have taken the “do only what feels good” approach and they have the same results: less work, and more income. So how do we do it?

There are two ways to feel good and be much more successful:

1. Shift Your Paradigm About The Task

The reason I have sent out my weekly coaching tips email every week for the last five and a half years is that it fulfills me and my purpose. Business owners tell me every week that these emails give them hope, help them become better leaders, and give them quick, actionable changes to implement that actually work.

Bringing more profit, joy, and freedom to people like you is the reason I started my business. Goosebumps! When I am thinking about THAT, writing and sending these emails is a breeze (that feels good!)

So if you’re dreading a task, change your story about the task—find a way to feel good about it!

2. Take More Time Off

I know, I know, you’ve heard this before (probably from me, haha) but YOU NEED TO TAKE MORE TIME OFF and spend time with your loved ones, spend time rejuvenating, take time to feed your soul with activities that make you feel good! The whole reason you started your business was to achieve some greater goal (more freedom, more vacations, more time with your family) that will ultimately MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD, right?

INJECT THAT FEELING GOOD NOW and the path to achieving those greater goals will be much easier and faster. You will feel much better too, because you won’t be missing out on things like family events or birthdays, and you won’t resent work when you’re doing it, because you’ve got that balance in your life and it FEELS GOOD.

Now here’s the very best news, if you FEEL GOOD AND WORK HARD (while feeling good – this is very important) you will achieve mind-blowing success.
