I want to draw your attention today to that voice in your head… If you’re thinking right now “Kelli-Rae is crazy, I have no voice in my head!” that IS the voice talking!
One of the most impactful habits the top performers in the world have figured out, is to control your focus, or the voice in your head. Using your brain power to contemplate things like:
- GRATITUDE, and
has produced incredible results for the world’s most successful entrepreneurs. I guarantee that you are spending some time each day thinking about things that are not moving you forward.
How do you fix this? I know you don’t want to be wasting time, or moving backwards! A great way to catch yourself and course-correct, is to notice when you’re feeling any sort of negative feeling. This includes sadness, anxiety, anger, frustration or many other feelings. When you’re feeling something bad, it is definitely because you are THINKING something bad. Take that opportunity to CONTROL YOUR FOCUS, and instead change your thinking to:
- a GOAL that you’re working towards,
- something you’re GRATEFUL for, or
- how you could be more PRESENT in the current activity you’re involved in.
Implement the 90-second rule with any negative thoughts or feelings and FORCE yourself to think about one of these three powerful thoughts that will MOVE YOU FORWARD rather than back. You will notice a difference in your mood immediately, and your results soon after!
